About This Adventure
You keep eleven rooms on Alder Street in Halverston, a mill town where the lease on every house is a public document and the mill is patient. You are three boarders short and the widow who holds the mortgage on the building has walked through the wet to sit in your cold parlor and put the ledger on the table between you. She wants the house full by the end of the quarter, and she wants something else that does not go in the ledger, and she has decided these are one problem.
