We built this site because we are big AI chatbot nerds. As such we realize more than anyone the existential horror of somebody finding romantic AI chat bot logs detailing your innermost thoughts. Given we built this site to use it ourselves and there are multiple devs working on this we are just as motivated as you users if not more motivated to have enhanced privacy protection (because it's multiple devs if any one of us built a way to secretly record user sessions any other dev could access our own sessions).
For that reason, we have already built the site to save locally using military grade encryption and will be working on a system to completely anonymize all accounts even from the perspective of developer accounts. More than that, when you delete something, it is gone (outside of anything that might be stored on our providers servers but none of that would have a connection to your account).
I have heard stories of other chat bot sites where devs would regularly send each other some of the "funniest" user interactions or users who engaged in kinks they thought were weird. We have built our site so that is structurally impossible.
1. Information We Collect
When you use Reality Fabricator, we collect the following information:
- Account Information: Email address, display name, and profile picture provided through Google OAuth authentication.
- Content Data: Interactive scenarios, companions, chat messages, and game sessions you create or participate in.
- Generated Images: Images created through our AI image generation service, stored locally on our servers.
- Token Usage: Records of token purchases, consumption, and account balance for billing purposes.
- Technical Data: IP address, browser type, device information, and usage patterns for security and service operation.
- Payment Information: Billing data processed through Stripe (we do not store credit card details).
2. Local Storage and Encryption
Military-Grade Local Storage: We provide local storage options with military-grade AES-256 encryption for sensitive scenarios and personal content. This data is encrypted on your device and stored in your local file system.
Important Limitation: While your local data is encrypted with military-grade security, any content you send to AI language models (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Mistral, xAI, etc.) becomes visible to those AI providers during processing. We cannot control or encrypt data once it reaches external AI services.
3. AI Provider Data Sharing
When you use AI features, your prompts and messages are sent to external AI providers:
- Text Generation: OpenAI (GPT models), Anthropic (Claude), Google (Gemini), Mistral (via AWS Bedrock), xAI (Grok)
- Image Generation: ModelsLab, Replicate, Amazon Bedrock (Titan)
- Data Sent: Your prompts, conversation context, and generation parameters
- Provider Policies: Each provider has their own data handling policies and retention periods
- No Control: We cannot control how these providers process, store, or use your data
4. Data Storage and Security
Local Storage: Generated images and user content are stored on our servers with standard security measures including encryption in transit and access controls.
Session Data: Game sessions and scenarios are stored in our database for service functionality.
Security Measures: We implement industry-standard security practices, but no system is completely secure.
5. Token Economy
Virtual Credits: Tokens are virtual credits used to access AI services. Token purchases are final and non-refundable except as required by law.
Usage Tracking: We track token consumption for billing and service operation purposes.
Free Grants: New users receive free tokens, and daily rewards are provided at our discretion.
6. Data Retention
We retain data as follows:
- Account Data: While your account is active plus 30 days after deletion
- Game Sessions: Until you delete them or close your account
- Generated Images: Stored permanently unless you delete them
- Payment Records: As required by law and accounting practices
- Security Logs: Up to 90 days for fraud prevention
7. Your Rights
You may:
- Access: Request a copy of your personal data
- Correction: Update inaccurate information through account settings
- Deletion: Delete your account and associated data
- Export: Download your scenarios and game data
