About This Adventure
You are Cecil, a night-shift coder in a third-floor walk-up on Pittsburgh's South Side Slopes, and your girlfriend Lira, pale-skinned and red-eyed and dressed for the one night nobody stares, has turned the apartment into a Halloween walk with a handwritten rule on every door. You have followed each one, phone surrendered, cider drunk, questions answered, and now she stands at the bedroom with a lit candle and the last card. She has already named the thing neither of you has said out loud since summer, and whether the door opens tonight is a choice she has handed to you.
