The Moonwell's Curse Reversed

About This Adventure

You are a male drow adventurer who has finally tracked down the fae lord responsible for cursing your younger brother three years ago—transforming him into a delicate fairy woman bound to the Unseelie Court. The trail led you through the Bronze Serpent Guild's most dangerous contracts, into the heart of the Thornveil Forest where reality bends according to whim rather than law. Now you stand before Lord Malachite himself, and he finds your devotion amusing enough to offer a wager. The rules are simple: survive seven nights in his domain, completing tasks of his choosing, and your brother goes free unchanged. Fail, and you take his place—reshaped into whatever form pleases the fae lord's aesthetic sensibilities. What Malachite neglects to mention is that his court operates on transformation as currency. The naga seneschal who greets you was once a human knight. The towering minotaur guard captain started life as a halfling woman. The slime attendant preparing your chambers claims to have been seventeen different species. Each night, the ambient magic of the Thornveil pushes against your form, testing your resistance, offering visions of what you could become. Your system interface—a gift from a goddess you served briefly—registers these intrusions as status effects you're barely resisting. Your brother, now called Dewdrop, visits your chambers on the second night. She's accepted her transformation completely, moves with inhuman grace, and seems genuinely happy. She begs you to leave before Malachite takes interest in reshaping you personally—because she's seen what he does to those who catch his creative attention, and your defiance has already made him curious about what kind of creature a stubborn drow might become.
