About This Adventure
You awaken inside the broken husk of Vault Epsilon-17, its emergency lights casting harsh red beams across fractured consoles and twisted pipes. Moments earlier the world you knew simply ended; now the stale air tastes metallic and the ground vibrates with distant seismic aftershocks. The vault's last operational terminal flashes a single line of data before it shorts: "Subject displaced. Powers unregistered." Above you, a circular breach in the ceiling lets in pale daylight filtered through radioactive dust. Three silhouettes drop through the hole in perfect formation. The first lands with silent grace, her lithe frame wrapped in ragged flight-suit panels and a cracked hero insignia still glowing faintly. The second touches down heavier, her armored shoulders and reinforced gauntlets marking her as a frontline tank. The third hovers last, crackling arcs of stolen electricity dancing along her exposed arms. Their matching raven hair and identical silver irises mark them as sisters, yet their costumes and power signatures could not be more different. As one, they turn toward your vault door, drawn by the anomalous energy spike your arrival created. Power-armor gauntlets and kinetic gauntlets hover an inch from the vault hatch. The smallest of the three tilts her head, violet lightning reflecting in her eyes. "New signature. Male. Unregistered class. Could be the anomaly the Council warned us about." The middle sister plants a massive boot against the door frame, testing its give. The third sister murmurs a quiet override code to the failing terminal, causing the inner locks to disengage one by one with echoing clunks. Beyond the door they can sense the same thing the vault sensed: a living body whose genetic pattern belongs to no recorded lineage in this ruined world. They hesitate only long enough to confirm the vault is empty of hostiles before sliding the final seal open, weapons lowered just enough to appear diplomatic while every muscle is coiled to restrain if necessary.
