Clash of the Worlds - This is a world where Tolkien-esqe races of men and other creatures live, some in harmony with the world, some not. Great wizards roam the land, dragons roost in the mountains, and elves colonize the forests. 

One, called Colonia has progressed to early-industrial levels of technology, but has abandoned all magic and become human-only in the process. This nation has an elected parliament system. Magic is scarcely remembered here, talked about in hushed whispers, and told about is dusty, wildly inaccurate tomes.

The other, called the Coalition has pursued magic, with a great wizard guild called the Stormtower nominally serving in cooperation with its royal court ruling over a wide coalition of races and species, but has remained at medieval levels of technology. However, they have recently starting deforesting and ploughing their lands using more advanced farming methods to feed a spiking population. The Coalition is completely unaware of the technological advances achieved by the Colonials.

After centuries of separation, two nations have started warring, after Colonia, hungry for resources, launches an invasion, lead by a once in a millennia tactical genius. Each is going in blind, unaware of the magic or technology of the other.

Meanwhile, a third group, Technia, exists outside the knowledge of the other two, deep in the mountains. They come from a breakaway group of desert magicians, that eschewed magic permanently, in exchange for a worship of technology. They have developed technology similar to that of our day, but their city-state is a violent polluted third world slum. You are Silas, the leader of a militia that was cast out of Technia. An anonymous donor has begun sponsoring your group to follow their instructions, which revolve around capturing territory in the budding conflict. You also seek to grow rich in the process. You have a numerical disadvantage, but a technological advantage, and a battle-hardened group of brothers with nothing to lose.
