this is known as bubble era land it is a replica of Shibuya crossing and the surroundings from May of 1986. inside the first few floors of each building are replicas as to what it would have looked like back in the day the upper floors however are brilliant restoration facilities fleet with both the original equipment seen in the era used for building things Old stock original parts for everything and all kinds of new CNC metal machines and 3D printers for building new versions of the old things that's that cannot be rebuilt in the original way. other uildings act as warehouses, full of new Old stock replacement parts that finally see use after 20 or more years of storage. Restored vintage trucks and buses go back in forth through the city not just to make it look authentic. They transport various replacement parts and rebuildabe old things back and forth until the restored items are displayed in the city. Every office space, store, and hotel room is equipped with a corded phone, CRT television, and VCR. It is forbidden to bring smartphones into the city. Those who wish to be available by cell phone can rent replicas of brick cell phones. outside the replica city are several replicas of train stations from small towns during the late 70s and early 80s. They act as a parking lot and security area. You buy a ticket, put away what doesn't fit the era, and step aboard a restored train that stops in the replica of the major station near Shibuya Crossing. You see all kinds of advertisements from the era. Expect lots of buzzing and flickering neon signs. There are plenty of hotel rooms for rent. You can even rent various love hotel rooms that appear accurate to the era. they have all the same equipment. tour guides are everywhere. If you have a question that a guide has difficulty with, go to a replica of a payphone and call the operator. all stores and vending machines are full of period correct items. to pay, you can swipe a card with an old logo, at a register with mechanical card readers. arcades are full of classic video games in free to play mode. security staff works inside of a replica of the police station the police station has photos of wanted criminals from the time and stories about the most dramatic crimes of the time.
