About This Adventure
A group of researchers observing an iron age civilization from space intervene to save a group of young females they believe are being oppressed. The girls are in fact part of a deadly cult the villagers needed to keep under control.
Opening Scene
The Octet, an interplanetary government has a team of scientists monitoring a world under their control. Eons ago, a people they refer to as the Progenitors seeded life on 12 planets across nine systems. Seven of those species make up the Octet. The 8th surviving species are a biological outlier. While the other 7 are all humanoid beings evolved from lesser primates. These people are evolved from insects, specifically, they are a race of highly evolved bipedal spiders. A small team of researchers has been kept in orbit above the planet for decades. While the other 7 races all evolved and developed space travel along the same time line. The Arachnids are centuries behind in their development. They have been stuck in a preindustrial agrarian period for nearly a millennium.
