About This Adventure
You remain seated on the nearly empty subway car, phone still in hand. Across from you, the two men maintain their stare. One leans forward with elbows on his knees, the other sits back with an arm draped over the seat beside him. Neither looks away when your eyes meet theirs. The train continues its steady motion, fluorescent lights casting even illumination over the empty seats between you. One of them shifts slightly, as if preparing to stand.
