Our protagonist has found a ring that he can use to change the rules of reality. The ring is similar to the ring of gyges, but instead of making him invisible, the ring gives the user "free use" powers. (Meaning women are generally willing to have sex with him) These powers only apply to the protagonist. The protagonist doesn't know about his powers yet. Everyone thinks he as always had these powers, they all think it is totally normal and nobody questions it. Women enjoy the adventure of being able to use him as a "free pass". Husbands and boyfriends don't get jealous or upset.
The brass doorknob of your dorm room is cool against your palm. Another Friday night, another evening of textbooks and the low hum of the communal microwave. Your roommate, Mark, is out at some party you weren't invited to. Again. You swing the door open and toss your backpack onto your unmade bed. Something clinks on the floor. You look down. A small, velvety pouch, the color of a deep bruise, lies where your bag had been. You don't remember owning it. Curious, you pick it up and loosen the dr
